| The Castle of
Acquafredda is an important testimony of fortified structure of
medioeval age, tos be distant 4 km. from the inhabited center of
Siliqua and it is raised on a hill of vulcanic origin developing
itself for a height of 256 m. regarding the sea level.

| With a law by
decree of 1993, the situated one called "I tame Andesitico
di Acquafredda", it is renamed Natural Monument. Diffuse
opinion attributes its construction to celebre the noble pisano
Ugolino Of the Gherardesca, lord of Donoratico, sin from 1257,
when became Sir of the south-western part of the Sardinia after
the fall of the Sentence of Cagliari |

The vicissitudes of Lord Ugolino have become illustrious thanks to
the deep backs of Dante Alighieri in the Divine Commedia: "the
